What is Christianity?
Christianity is a religion of people who worship the only God - incarnated in Jesus - and live according to His truth, the Bible. What does the Bible teach?
The Bible teaches that God made humanity to know him and work with him in caring for the earth. Humanity disobeyed God and started dying because they were now separated from the life that God gives and accountable for their sins. But because God loves mankind, he started a process to save people from sin and death by giving himself (through Jesus, God-incarnate) as the worthy sacrifice for sin, and the restorer of life with God and a new creation. Life with God through faith in Jesus gives us a true view of reality and wisdom to live a blessed life. God asks his people to share this good news with all. What is the church?
The church is a community of God’s people worshipping him and living according to his truth. We seek to bless our country by praying for it, helping the weak, living honest and good lives, and sharing God’s good news with all. What is conversion?
You convert when you are convinced of the truth and put your faith in Jesus only as the forgiver of your sins and the giver of new life with God. It is a free, individual choice. The church doesn’t convert you, it only recognizes and accepts you as a new child of God.Why are there so many different churches?
There are two main reasons: first, because people are not perfect. While God’s truth does not change, people’s interpretations of the Bible change because they often give more importance to their own needs and values. However, there is a clear unity among churches that submit to the truth of the Bible. Second, because cultures are different. God has not given strict rules for only one form of church. He has given some essential rules, which give stability and flexibility. God values unity in diversity across many cultures. How can I know more about Jesus?
